Some of these may sound like small perks. These contain standardized snippets for many common OmniFocus tasks, projects, and notes. When you combine TextExpander with this simple but tremendously powerful concept, you can fly through recording and processing tasks in OmniFocus.įor example, try the free OmniFocus snippet groups from our friend David Sparks and the Learn OmniFocus site. Many OmniFocus users create some kind of a system for the way they name different kinds of new tasks, projects, and notes. You can even use your favorite external keyboard. If you’re a fan of Swype or Google’s keyboard, or you just can’t bear to switch away from your favorite GIF-enabled keyboard, it’s all good, snippet away. One of the biggest advantages of using TextExpander-Enhanced Apps on iOS is that you can use any keyboard you want. When working in OmniFocus, you can simply type your abbreviations like normal, TextExpander Keyboard not required. Now you’re ready to cook with gas snippets. In OmniFocus, go to settings or preferences and switch on TextExpander.Under TextExpander’s Settings > TextExpander-Enhanced Apps switch on “Share Snippets”.
